Thank you for participating in SICHTBAR 2021. Our review on May 14th & 15th was a great success and we had a lot of fun. Our thanks is going to all the reviewers and participants. Thank you for the wonderful international gathering in our digital Zoom space.
Awards: For the first time, there has been a panel of judges for the portfolios shown, with prizes awarded in three categories. The basis of the pannel was the favorite portfolio of each reviewer. This shortlist was presented during Photoszene United, from 24 May to 07 June as a screening: https://vimeo.com/554246609
The jury consists of Thomas Gerwers (ProfiFoto), Jochen Heufelder (Fuhrwerkswaage), Heide Häusler (Photoszene) and Nadine Preiß (Photoszene) chose the following three winners from the shortlist:
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR THREE SICHTBAR AWARD WINNERS:
* Category Exhibition in Public Space in cooperation with MOUNTAINVIEW Gallery of the Fuhrwerkswaage.
Award Winner: JULIANE HERRMANN
Juliane Herrmann will receive a presentation of her work at the MOUNTAINVIEW Gallery of the Fuhrwerkswaage from August 1 - end of August 2021.
*Print publication category in cooperation with ProfiFoto.
Award Winner: USCHI GROOS
Uschi Groos receives an eight-page portfolio in the photo magazine ProfiFoto in the double issue July/August 2021.
*Category digital instagram showroom in cooperation with the International Photoscene Cologne.
Award winner: JIWON KIM
Jiwon Kim will present her works as a takeover of the Photoszene Instagram channel from June 21-25, 2021.
The portfolio review SICHTBAR was aimed at: young professionals - aspiring photographers and artists in their studies, as well as already experienced professional photographers and artists who are looking for new contacts and want to develop themselves further.
Legal: As soon as participants are notified about a place on the shortlist, they are obliged to make the presented image selection available to the Photoszene within two days free of charge for presentation purposes. Selected images will be used exclusively within the framework of the festival for publications in social media and for a public screenig. The Photoszene is not entitled to further use beyond the period of the festival without further agreement. The award winners ensure to provide the necessary data for publication in a timely manner. All rights remain with the photographers.
