Maria Teresa Salvati lives in Bari (Puglia) is the editor-in-chief, writer, publisher, lecturer and personal branding consultant and independent curator. Her topics focus mainly on: Environmental, Political and Cultural issues. She is editor-in-chief and founder of Slideluck Editorial: online and offline platform for contemporary photography and multimedia that promotes social change. The platform launches biennial calls and cross-media initiatives on key contemporary, social and cultural issues. She is co-author of the the symposium 'Visualizing Climate Change', in partnership with UAL (University of the Arts London), Climate Visuals, PARC (Photographic Archive Research Centre) and VII Photo Agency, whose previous themes have been "Female Gaze", "Environmental Sublime", "Is Photography Sufficient to Communicate the Climate Emergency?". Dealing with contemporary issues and having to do emerging and established photographers around the world, she is interested in creative documentary photography projects that range from traditionally classical to personal and more experimental works that may also push aesthetic boundaries.
Maria Teresa is also a Personal Branding consultant and educator. Her Special interest is to help emerging and established visual storytellers to identify and define their "Spot of Beauty", such as the personal and intimate motivation that drives their ways of seeing. She teaches at the F.Project School of Photography and New Media, in Bari; at IED Roma and Officine Fotografiche Roma; she is also guest lecturer at the London College of Communication (LCC) for the MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography. She has a dedicated column on C41 magazine to this topic, introducing photographers through their "Spot of Beauty". She’s a contributing writer to GUP Magazine.
