The Good Earth
The Good Earth is a field at the city boundary of Essen and Mülheim. For five years, Andreas Weinand and his camera accompanied three people who are spending their twilight years there, tilling their field as the seasons pass by. In the exhibition and a photobook, Andreas Weinand also reproduces his down-to-earth experience from his time in the field. The outcome is a heartening examination of old age and a work about humanity’s relationship with nature.
