A part of the Part ist part of the exhibition 'Inspiration and staging'. Dance and Photography A lasting 'disturbance' stood at the beginning of Polish photographer Anna Orłowska's engagement with the holdings of the Deutsches Tanzarchiv Köln. In her encounter with the archive's photo collection, she experienced the standstill, even the loss of movement in the artifact as well as the pictorially powerful illusion of capturing the fleeting movement of dance in the moment: the starting point for her very own photographic-artistic reflection on an archive and the art of dancing.
