The objects of the photographic work are the dancers and the choreographer Richard Siegal from the Ballet of Difference at Schauspiel Köln. In the dance production’s artistic process, the dancers merge into an autonomous, superordinate organism. Outside the ensemble, individual persons and their relationship to dance are sketched. The contrast between group and individual generates a field of tension which is approached by photography as a reflective medium.
