In the series “Pregnant Pauses”, Vassilis Konstantinou captures family and everyday moments, balancing reality and fantasy as he does so. The heroes, members of his family and he himself, sometimes awaken the impression of professional actors playing their roles, and sometimes they seem to be portraying themselves. These pauses imply an ambiguous “before” and an indeterminate “after”, in a subtle way the calm before the storm.
