The photo installation Memory. II by artist siblings Linda (*1972) and Reza Naji (*1978) incorporates material from the archive of their father’s photographic studio in Teheran. The shots depict wedding celebrations prior to the revolution in Iran in 1979. Whereas Iran appears in western media predominantly in the context of political reprisals, these photos represent a self-determined culture with a cosmopolitan attitude, which has been repressed since the revolution.
