Philipp Goldbach's exhibition "Image Cycle" results from a year-long engagement with the Rheinisches Bildarchiv and its move to a new building. His work reflects and comments on this process on a synchronous and diachronic level: Goldbach documented the conservation preparation for the move by restores in the archive. He then relocated 4,000 decommissioned archive cartons to the outside space, where they were subjected to a 6-month process of decay.
