In their coarse-grainedness, analogue black-and-white prints coyly depict nudes who are posed in front of a mirror all by themselves without any form of distraction. What effect does this pure moment have on the portrait-sitters, and what effect on the beholders? For one year, Franziska Korries worked on the book project “Mirare”, for which people of different genders and ages engaged in this special form of self-reflection.
