The giant plastic installations by Kounellis inside the National Library in Sarajevo are one of the artist’s most impressive works. The National Library, along with thousands of books, was burnt in the war (1991-1995). The Ars Aevi Museum Sarajevo engaged Almin Zrno, one of Bosnia’s most prominent photographers, to document this exhibition by Jannis Kounellis in 2004.
