From the antique fresco via the baroque still life to present-day photography, flowers are some of the most popular motifs in the history of art. Anna Halm Schudel has been dealing with the tradition-steeped subject for 25 years. She celebrates vibrant blazes of colour and diversity of shapes. Equally passionately, she follows the process of withering and wilting. Blossom, the book of the same name, received the Silver Medal of the German Photobook Award in 2020.
